- Description: In honor of ROR’s fifth anniversary, we devote an entire hour to hearing from ROR integrators about some of the many different reasons and ways ROR is being used in key scholarly systems and workflows around the world.
Presenters
- Kyle Demes, VP of Research Intelligence at OurResearch, shows how ROR enables powerful and free research intelligence in OpenAlex.
- Andrea Bollini, Chief Technology Innovation Officer at 4Science, demonstrates a brand-new ROR integration for author affiliations and funding references in DSpace-CRIS.
- Paloma Marín-Arraiza, Engagement Manager at ORCID, shows statistics on the increasing use of ROR in ORCID records, explains how the ORCID Affiliation Manager and the API use ROR to allow institutions to verify researcher affiliations, and gives an update on future ROR-powered ORCID features.
- Daria Piccinelli, Process and Content Management Project Coordinator at Springer Nature, tells us how her team developed a method to match author affiliation text strings to ROR IDs using the ROR API in Springer Nature’s production workflow and talks about what’s next for ROR at Springer Nature.
- Savanna Sims, Information Science Specialist at Edgewater Federal Solutions / U.S. Department of Energy Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI), talks about a large-scale curation effort undertaken in collaboration with ROR to add and modify ROR records for the U.S. Department of Energy.
- Eric Olson, Product Manager at the Center for Open Science, and Luca Belletti, Senior Product Manager at Elsevier, outline the purpose, focus, and accomplishments of the ROR Implementation Task Group of the NIH’s Generalist Repository Ecosystem Initiative (GREI).
